JMG Group has appointed Ian Muldowney as managing director of its Chester-based broker Grosvenor Insurance.
Ian brings over 20 years’ insurance experience to the role, having held senior positions within broking, with expertise in professional indemnity, cyber and financial lines. Most recently, he held a deputy managing director role, having previously progressed through account executive and sales director positions.
Ian joins Grosvenor with an ambition to build on the broker’s strong foundations and further strengthen its position within the Chester and wider Cheshire business community.
Established by Andy Piggott and Phil Beesley in 2013, Grosvenor Insurance has built a strong reputation for providing specialist insurance solutions to commercial and private clients. The business was acquired by JMG Group in October 2024, and Andy continues to play an active client-focussed role in the business.
Ian will focus on both organic and acquisitive growth in the Cheshire market, as well as developing its specialist areas, including equine and agriculture. He also plans to bring new talent into the team and ensure that the existing team can make the most of their skills and experience.
