The new partnership will give JMG Group’s commercial insurance clients access to Precursor’s state-of-the-art scanning technology which assesses the company’s digital infrastructure and identifies vulnerabilities and potential entry points for cyber threats. The results of these scans allow for a bespoke cyber liability insurance policy, with reduced financial terms, that aligns with each company’s unique requirements.
JM Glendinning cyber, data and crime director, Andy Parkin, says: “We’re excited to launch this partnership with Precursor Security as it offers fantastic benefits for our clients by offering additional protection from cyber-attacks. It will provide them with security that protects them against serious and increasing threats. Everyone involved is excited to be at the forefront of this proactive approach to cyber insurance.”
Where Precursor’s cyber security services are utilised, insurers AVIVA will apply a rating reduction in support of the proactive cyber security strategy. Clients will also receive 24/7 support and incident response in the event of a cyber-attack as well as the peace of mind of knowing that their business is protected against a wide range of cyber threats.
Precursor’s technical director, Jordan Carter, says: “We’ve seen first-hand the benefits a good cyber insurance policy can bring to an organisation when it is in place alongside strong cyber security technical measures. The two complement each other and bring additional defence and a sensible and proactive approach to mitigating the risk of a cyber-attack.”
